Scuter II #5 Hatched January 12, 2024, weighing 26.8 grams and now weighs 82.1 grams. This is a Hybrid/Mix (SPp/SPb) Leopard Tortoise baby. I believe the mixing of both the SPp and SPb gives you the best of both subspecies. They are not as large as the Giant South African, yet friendly, grass eating and more outgoing than the Babcocki. All my hatchlings are raised in a closed chamber enclosure with a minimum of 80% humidity and a minimum temperature of 80℉ on the cool side of the enclosure. The babies have been eating Organic Green Leaf, Red Leaf, Kale, Spring Mix and Escarole/Endive that can be purchased at any grocery store, as well as what I grow in my yard. All hatchlings are soaked daily for 30 minutes. These measures provide the best environment to ensure smooth shell growth & optimal organ development.
